On Thursday 20th February, an exclusive evening was held in Val di Suga for 40 journalists from the national and international press and a very limited group of clients and collectors. On the agenda a Vertical Tasting of Vigna Spuntali called “A History Crossing 4 Decades…: five wines, four decades of Vigna Spuntali, starting from the first vintage produced, 1988, and then one vintage for each decade (the one we consider the most representative): 1995-2001-2010-2015. The tasting was followed by a dinner laid on in the underground cellar, where our cru undergoes ageing.
It was an exciting evening for us at Val di Suga. It took us back through a long stretch of our history, the quality growth of our wines, our absolute belief in the strong link between Sangiovese and this unique land of Montalcino, which gets stronger each year.
The still lively and vibrant 1988 vintage was followed by the others, all still in great shape (… it has to be said!), which pleasantly surprised our guests with their longevity and the strong territorial expression that Vigna Spuntali has always stood out for.
