Falstaff Brunello Tasting 2015

Falstaff: excellent ratings for our 2015 Brunello crus

Othmar Kiem and Simon Staffler have concluded the tastings of the new Brunello vintage and have published an article that, as usual, is an accurate report on the appellation. The title of the article, published in the March issue of Falstaff, is “A Great Vintage” and describes how the two expert journalists have noticed the ever-increasing quality of Brunello di Montalcino over the years: more elegant wines, a more informed used of wood, smooth tannins.

The article ends with a limited selection of what the authors consider to be the best 2015 Brunellos. There are two Val di Suga crus in this ranking: Vigna Spuntali, which scored 96 points and Poggio al Granchio with 94 points.
